Write the identity first
Record the title, source URL and any app mode or visible settings. Include the date you checked it. A game name without a version is a weak starting point for a detailed comparison.
Divide the questions
Use separate rows for player count, deck, stack sizes, opening requirements, meld composition, pickup, end of round and settlement. Put each reference in its own column and leave unknowns visible.
Label changes honestly
If the group agrees a different condition, mark it as a house change rather than attributing it to the published source. Share it before play, not after a situation becomes disputed.
Keep expansions useful
A variant deserves its own checked explanation when the difference matters. There is no need to copy every article into several nearly identical versions.
